General Objectives
The Psychological Health & Awareness Society in Egypt (P.H.A.S.E) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2006, in Egypt, with more than 70 active professional members. Its registration number is 6692 in Cairo Governorate and its main activities are as follows:
- Counseling and treatment of patients suffering from psychological disorders, particularly those related to psychological traumas (abuse, domestic violence, natural disasters, and terrorism) and addiction.
- Establishing prevention and community awareness programs.
- Developing training for psychosocial teams and for the education and schooling personnel (teachers, school doctors, nurses…) to screen psychological disorders in schools.
- Scientific research (e.g., setting up instruments adapted to the Egyptian population, organizing international seminars to foster scientific exchanges among professionals etc…).
P.H.A.S.E is member of the World Association for Social Psychiatry (WASP)
